This 4-day workshop will cover, not only crewel embroidery stitches, but also the concept of using metallic and other shiny threads, beads and Swarovski crystals to enrich the time honoured Jacobean style of stitchery.    

Measuring 211 x 110 mm, the original of this project has been made into a needle book.  It could,   however, be used to make an evening bag.  It is worked on hunter’s green tafetta with stranded cotton, metallic and rayon threads, Miyuki beads and Swarovski flat back crystals.  .  

The workshop will open up a world of possibilities for the already accomplished embroiderer and is for stitchers who have a good basic knowledge of the art.

Whilst this workshop is a 4 day workshop there is the option to continue on for another 4 days making this a 6 or an 8 day workshop.  However, the first 2 day workshop must be completed before students extend. All students attending this workshop must start on Saturday 4th July.
