Silk Scarf with 3D Shibori with Cathy Moon

2 Day Workshop -  Thursday 9th & Friday 10th July

Using silk habutai and stitched shibori techniques you will create this beautiful shibori scarf. After dyeing the scarf in your colour of choice, we work on creating an individual shibori design that uses a variety of shibori stitching.  A few small samples will be made before you decide which technique/s you prefer. Your design will then be transferred onto your silk, stitched and pulled up to form the details and then dyed.  Once your silk is dry you will remove your stitching to reveal a beautiful and unique shibori piece ready for wearing.

The colour options shown are purely as an example. Students will choose your colours during the workshop.
