Satin Display Boxes

These satin boxes are currently available in 3 colours, Navy, Green and Black

The Large Round Box insert has a diameter of 12.7cm, 5"

The Large Oval Box insert has a length of 13.7cm, 5.39" and a width of 10.5cm, 4.13"

The Jewellery Box insert has a length of 17.3cm, 6.8" x 10.5cm, 4.13"

They are satin outside and inside and the jewellery box features ring holders and a ruched lining in the lid.

Finishing Hints for the Satin Boxes

·       Slide fingernail between calico and the satin rim to remove insert,

·       Using a double strand of strong thread work a double row of tacking stitches approximately ½” from the outside boundary.

·       Place embroidery face down onto a clean gentle surface.

·       Remove the lid insert from the box

·       Place it face down and centre it on your embroidery

·       Use the tails of your tacking stitches to gather in the tacking stitches, smoothing and evening out as necessary until the    embroidered fabric is closed firmly over the lid insert.

·       Use a double knot to tie the ends of the thread together.

·       Glue or silicone the lid insert into the box top.

·       If raised or delicate embroidery has been used, wide elastic bands may be used to hold lid insert in place whilst the adhesive sets.

·       In the case of the rectangular jewellery boxes it can be preferable to trim and mitre the corners to get a neater finish.

·       Extra padding may be added for a higher finish before covering the lid insert.
