You will also require:
The stocking can be made from fine wool fabric, wool blanketing or wool felt. The size of background fabric that you will need is 43cm x 108cm. (17" x 42"). The trim fabric for the stocking is 15cm x 56cm (6" x 22") and the lining 60cm (24") x full width. You will need batting as a optional extra if you wish it to have more body and you will need DMC or sewing thread to match your background fabric.
