2 Day workshop - Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th July

“A Red Affair”, is a spectacular marriage of hand embroidery and wet felting to create this exquisite purse. In this workshop you will learn three   component stages, firstly how to hand craft a felted, seamless purse in olive green and maroon wool. It will then be brought to life with embellishments using silk ribbon embroidery, beading, buttonhole stitch, French knots, long and short bullions.The tassel is constructed using DMC stranded cotton, the tassel head is finished with needle lace. The skirt is dressed with needle lace and buttonhole stitch covered beads. A Red Affair is a fun project with which to learn a variety of  techniques. The completed purse not including the strap measures 44cm x 26cm.

The kit includes the pattern, instructions with colour photo, wool, DMC threads, beads, silk ribbons, needles and silk for the lining.
