Fuchsias are one of Annie's favourite flowers but one she has never had any success with growing!, so to embroider them was a great option!

The background is layered: - Hand-dyed tissue silk with overlays of silk organza, creating beautiful windows set with goldwork outlines.The flower is worked in total relief and hangs beautifully pendulous. The sepals are needle-lace, the petals wired silk.  The leaves are wired and embroidered on a combo of silk and silk gauze. The Branch is dimensional raised stem band with very interesting dimensional techniques included,Buds are a combination of needle-weaving with great padding techniques, There are many new techniques to learn. The picture measures 20cm x 23cm.

The project requires a prepared roller frame. When booking you will have the choice to purchase this frame already prepared by Annie and brought to the workshop to save you the time.
