Hearts Delight by Jan Kerton

Jan’s latest stumpwork project explores more raised work without wire. The beautiful heart worked in interlaced chain stitch is complimented by 3-dimensional leaves and multi-layered African violets. Add wrapped beads and a beautiful butterfly to the complete the design.

Stitches used include running stitch, whipping, lazy daisy, interlaced chain, split backstitch, buttonhole stitch, drizzle stitch, bullion stitch and wrapping beads.

This project is worked on soft gold silk dupion. Includes a bonus smaller design for a rectangular paperweight.
