Beth Russell's William Morris Needlepoint

Combining her considerable talents and infectious enthusiasm for William Morris, Beth Russell has adapted a number of his most beautiful designs to create an original needlepoint collection for the home. Morris was probably the most prolific and talented designer of the nineteenth century ever witnessed. Inspired by the natural world around him, he produced a wealth of designs for embroideries, tapestries and wallpapers.

Beth Russells needlepoint projects are a unique interpretation of this work and pay due homage to his creative genius.

Most of the projects are worked in tent stitch on canvas, and the accompanying colour charts enable the reader to follow the instructions with ease. All of the materials needled for each project are indicated, including the amount of yarn to buy, and advice is given on stitching and finishing off.

The book features over 80 colour photographs and 23 needlepoint charts.
